Xinyi is an avid multilingual learner and teacher practitioner with her first language in Mandarin. She is in her 5th year of teaching at East Point Academy in Columbia, SC, as a Mandarin teacher and Multilingual Learner Program specialist. Xinyi holds a MEd in TESOL from the University of Georgia. Her pedagogy approach is informed by multimodality and new literacy, which cultivates personal connections and creative expressions through language learning.
